A side dish recipe of kale stewed in chicken broth with pieces of fried bacon.


Ingredients:

  • 450 g frozen kale
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • A little butter
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Fry the bacon in a heavy-bottomed pan and drain on a paper towel.

    Add onion and cook for 3 minutes.

    Add kale and chicken broth and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Stir in bacon, butter, and season with salt and pepper.
