Make a killer appetizer with the traditional Hoagie sub ingredients: various meats and cheeses, onions, lettuce, and dressing, and serve the dipping sauce on a bun with the bread removed.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 medium-sized onion
- 2 pickled peperoncino peppers
- 1/2 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 large tomato (cut in half and remove seeds)
- 100 g of sliced Genoese salami
- 100 g of sliced ham
- 100 g of sliced prosciutto
- 100 g of roasted turkey slices
- 100 g of sliced provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1.5 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp red chili pepper petals
- 1 loaf (25-30 cm) of round Italian bread
- 8 hoagie rolls, cut into pieces, for dipping

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Cut the onion, pepperoncini, lettuce, and tomato into bite-sized pieces. Dice the meat and cheese.
Combine chopped vegetables, meat, and cheese in a large bowl. Add mayonnaise, olive oil, oregano, basil, and red chili flakes and mix well. Refrigerate until serving. - Cut out the center of a round loaf of bread to create a "bowl" (do not cut through the bottom) and cut the cut-out portion into small pieces. Serve the dipping sauce in the bread with hoagie rolls for scooping up this deliciousness!
