Recipe for granita - pink snow tinted with grenadine syrup.

In a saucepan, combine 3/4 cup water and 3/4 cup sugar. Heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves; cool. Add 1 1/2 cups water, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons grenadine syrup. Freeze the mixture in a shallow baking dish, scraping with a fork every 2 hours, until firm, 4 to 6 hours.
