Italian coffee granita with liqueur is a wonderful way to refresh and relax. This dessert is lighter than ice cream and is perfect for finishing a large festive dinner. Serve the granita in bowls or glasses, garnish with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon. It looks so elegant!

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 450 ml of hot strong coffee
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua, plus extra for drizzling
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon + extra for sprinkling
- To serve: fresh whipped cream or marshmallow glaze, dark cocoa powder

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Add sugar to the coffee, stirring until dissolved. Stir in cream, liqueur, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe baking dish. Freeze for 2 hours, then remove and scrape the mixture with a fork. Continue scraping the granita every hour for 4-6 hours.
- Divide the granita among 4 bowls or glasses. You can add a few drops of liqueur. Garnish with whipped cream or marshmallows and sprinkle with dark cocoa powder and cinnamon.
