Unlike a hot latte, an iced latte typically doesn't contain frothed milk, but it does contain sugar or flavored syrup and is served over ice. The base of this coffee drink recipe is espresso and chilled milk, topped with homemade natural cinnamon syrup.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Latte

  • 90 ml espresso
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar syrup, recipe below
  • 1 and 1/3 cups whole milk
  • Crushed ice for serving

Sugar syrup with cinnamon

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • Special equipment: 4 small glass jars with screw-on lids

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine espresso, flavored simple syrup, and milk in a small pitcher. Fill each pitcher with crushed ice. Pour the latte mixture over ice and serve immediately.
  2. Sugar syrup with cinnamon


    Place a saucepan over medium heat and combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool the syrup. Leftover cooled syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
