Romantic hot chocolate - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 100 g dark chocolate, either bitter or semi-sweet, of your choice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp dark rum (or to taste)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour milk into a saucepan, break the chocolate into pieces, and add it to the milk along with the cinnamon stick, honey, and sugar. Heat over low heat until the chocolate melts.
  • Step 2
  • Add vanilla extract and mix with a small hand whisk, continuing to whisk. Add a spoonful of rum, then taste to see if more is needed.

    If you prefer a sweeter chocolate, add more sugar. Remove the cinnamon stick and pour the drink into 2 cappuccino or latte cups.
