White chocolate provides the perfect backdrop for the fragrant, warming cardamom in this hot drink, perfect for sipping on a cool winter evening. If you're a hot chocolate fan but haven't tried the white version, now's the time to enjoy it with a handful of melting mini marshmallows.


Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of low-fat cream (10%)
  • 220 g chopped white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a medium saucepan, heat 1 quart of light cream (10%) with 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom until steaming, about 8 minutes (do not bring to a boil). Stir in 8 ounces of chopped white chocolate until melted.
  • Step 2
  • Pour the hot chocolate into 4 mugs and top with mini marshmallows and a sprinkle of cardamom.
