Hot chocolate with sesame tahini paste is a two-in-one recipe. It's made with homemade chocolate spread, which can be spread on toast like Nutella or poured over hot milk for a warming winter drink!

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/3 tbsp. milk chocolate granules 36% cocoa
  • 1 tbsp. tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 8 cups of milk
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Make the tahini chocolate spread:

    Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Add the tahini, vanilla, and salt. The mixture will thicken as it cools. At this point, the chocolate spread can be transferred to a jar and stored in the refrigerator for about a week. It's great spread on toast or eaten with a spoon!
  • Step 2
  • Heat the milk in a saucepan, stirring frequently, until steaming. Add the chocolate spread and stir until completely melted. Pour the drink into 8 warmed mugs and serve hot!
