How to Make Raspberry Hot Chocolate

Before serving, add a splash of raspberry liqueur to the hot chocolate cream and garnish with candied ginger, which will add both aroma and sweetness. Aida Mollenkamp's treat is for adults only!


Ingredients:

  • 170 g chopped milk chocolate
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry liqueur
  • Candied ginger for garnish (optional)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients except the liqueur and ginger and place over medium-low heat. Heat, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate melts, about 2 minutes.

    Continue cooking, whisking constantly, until the mixture is smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add the liqueur, garnish with ginger slices (optional), and serve immediately.
