Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Chocolate pattern

Microwave the dark chocolate at 100% power in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Place the melted chocolate in a piping bag and snip off a tiny corner. Pipe a lace pattern onto a sheet of parchment paper in a circle slightly larger than your mug. Let it set completely.
  • Step 2
  • Hot chocolate

Combine the milk and cream in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, then add the chocolate chips, sugar, and vanilla, heating until the chips melt. Pour into a teapot.
  • Step 3
  • Serving a drink

Arrange a chocolate design on each mug and drizzle with hot chocolate. Once the chocolate has melted in the mug, top it with whipped cream and enjoy.
