Ingredients:

  • 225 g of mussels
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Thyme to taste
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic, optional
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Pour water into a deep saucepan, add the mussels, and cook over medium heat. When the mussels begin to open, drain the water. Add the white wine.

    Allow the alcohol to evaporate and, when the wine begins to simmer, add the cream, butter, thyme, and garlic. Reduce the heat and serve when all the mussels have opened. Discard any unopened mussels.
