A step-by-step recipe for making an iced latte with bourbon and vanilla.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Latte

  • 2 shots of espresso, chilled
  • 1 - 2 tbsp vanilla syrup, see recipe below
  • 1 glass bourbon
  • 1 cup whole milk, heated and frothed
  • Cinnamon, for sprinkling, optional

Vanilla syrup

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 vanilla pod, cut in half lengthwise, seeds scraped out

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine espresso, vanilla syrup, and bourbon in a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes. Shake for 10 seconds. Place the ice cubes in a tall glass, pour in the espresso mixture, and top with warm, frothed milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

    Vanilla syrup:

    In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Add the vanilla bean and seeds. Let cool to room temperature, then remove the vanilla bean. Pour the syrup into a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator.
