- Cinnamon, for sprinkling, optional
Vanilla syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 vanilla pod, cut in half lengthwise, seeds scraped out
We recommend
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Combine espresso, vanilla syrup, and bourbon in a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes. Shake for 10 seconds. Place the ice cubes in a tall glass, pour in the espresso mixture, and top with warm, frothed milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
Vanilla syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Add the vanilla bean and seeds. Let cool to room temperature, then remove the vanilla bean. Pour the syrup into a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator.
