A giant pretzel-shaped pie makes a delicious and impressive party appetizer. Roll out ready-made pizza dough into a long sheet. Fill it with cheese and pickled jalapeños, then seal the filling by stretching the dough into a long rope. Form it into a large pretzel and bake it in the oven. To make the crust taste like a real pretzel, brush the surface with baking soda and sprinkle with coarse salt a few minutes before baking. Place the finished pretzel in the center of the table, and guests will be eager to break off pieces, gooey and spicy.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Unfold two pieces of pizza dough and stack them on top of each other. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a 90 x 12 cm (36 x 5.5 in) sheet. Arrange slices of cheese along the length of the dough, ensuring it's completely covered. Sprinkle jalapeño over the cheese in the center. Fold the dough in half lengthwise and pinch the edges together to seal the filling. Roll and stretch the dough with your hands to form a 150 cm (50 in) long rope.

  3. Form the rope into a giant pretzel and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until the dough is almost completely cooked through and golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  4. Dissolve baking soda in 0.5 cups of hot water. Brush the pretzel with the solution and continue baking until dark golden brown and crispy, about 10 more minutes. Brush the pretzel with butter and sprinkle with salt. Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
