Ground cardamom, black pepper, and vanilla powder imbue this drink with a magical sweet-spicy flavor and aroma that's perfect for warming up cold winter evenings. Combine all the dry ingredients in a jar and use as needed, diluting the mixture with hot milk. You can also tie the jar with a ribbon and give it as a gift to friends, along with instructions and a bag of mini marshmallows.

Sift all the spiced hot chocolate mixture ingredients into a large bowl. For each serving, combine 1/4 cup of the mixture with 1 cup of hot milk. Store the remaining mixture in a glass jar.
