Make delicious and aromatic garlic bread for lunch with a little twist on your standard loaf. Cut the bread in half lengthwise, toast it in the oven on the grill, rub it with a mixture of butter and garlic, and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Optionally, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake again to create a thin, cheesy crust. Slice and serve in a bread basket.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 loaf of crusty bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 3 tablespoons grated Romano or Parmesan cheese, optional
  • Chopped fresh parsley

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine the garlic, butter, and olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan. Microwave for 1 minute or heat in a small saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  2. Toast the sliced ​​bread in the oven using the broiler setting. Remove the bread when golden brown. Brush generously with garlic butter. Sprinkle with cheese, if using, and parsley. If you added cheese, return the bread to the oven and broil for another 30 seconds. Slice and serve.
