This simple soup, made with canned and pre-prepared ingredients, turns into a delicious Italian dish that you can easily treat your loved ones to for lunch. The soup is made with frozen cheese tortellini, frozen spinach, and canned stewed tomatoes. Combine everything in a saucepan with store-bought broth, and the soup is ready in 10 minutes. Garlic and dried basil add a rich flavor, pairing beautifully with the tomato base and filling your home with the aromas of Mediterranean cuisine. A delicious and healthy dish that's a lifesaver when you can't get out and buy fresh ingredients.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 6 cups lightly salted chicken broth
  • 1 package (250 g) tortellini pasta with cheese
  • 1 package (250g) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed out
  • 1 - 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 can (400 g) of canned Italian stewed tomatoes
  • Dried basil, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large saucepan, bring the broth to a boil over medium heat. Add the tortellini and simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Add spinach, garlic, tomatoes, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil again and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese.
