This quick and delicious quiche is perfect for a hearty breakfast. It's loaded with spinach, bits of fried bacon, and gooey Swiss cheese. All the ingredients are layered on a pie crust and topped with beaten eggs and cream. After baking, the filling is tender and moist, packed with healthy fiber and delicious bacon that's hard to resist. This quiche is made using store-bought pie dough. It's quick and easy.


Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups tightly packed fresh baby spinach, chopped
  • 450 g bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1.5 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • Place 1 sheet of chilled pie dough, 22cm in diameter, into a 22cm glass pie dish.
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 190°C.
  • Step 2
  • Combine the eggs, cream, salt, and black pepper in a food processor or blender. Layer the spinach, bacon, and cheese on the bottom of the pie crust, then pour in the egg mixture.
  • Step 3
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the egg mixture is set. Cut the quiche into 8 pieces.
