The classic Boulevardier cocktail is the perfect combination of bourbon, Campari bitters, and vermouth. This recipe uses all ingredients in equal proportions, but adds an unexpected twist: grilled orange, which imparts a rugged, smoky note.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 6 orange slices
  • 120 ml bourbon
  • 120 ml vermouth, such as Carpano Antica
  • 120 ml Campari

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly spray the grill grates with cooking spray. If using a grill pan, preheat it over medium heat and, once hot, lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Place the orange slices on a grill rack or grill pan. Cook, turning once, until grill marks appear on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Remove the orange from the heat and cut into 2 slices. Set aside.
