Taking the luxurious dessert bananas foster as a starting point, Guy Fieri makes Texas-style croutons by dipping thick slices of bread in a creamy mixture of rum, cinnamon, and orange juice, and serving them with caramelized bananas.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
Batter for croutons:
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp natural vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp orange liqueur (Grand Marnier is recommended)
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Caramel sauce:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar (tamp down)
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1 tbsp. Creme de banana liqueur (banana cream liqueur)
- 3 bananas, peeled and sliced into rounds
- 6 thick slices of bread, preferably French or Texas toast

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Batter: In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth.
- Sauce: In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the cinnamon and orange juice and bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat, pour in the rum and banana liqueur, if using, and return it to the heat. Brush the sides of the pan with water using a pastry brush. Remove from the heat.
- Pour 1/4 cup of caramel sauce into a small saucepan and add the bananas. Heat over high heat. Keep warm.
- Toast: Heat a grill pan or nonstick skillet over high heat. Dip the bread slices in the batter, then place them on the pan, turning them over after 2 minutes. Pour 1/4 cup of caramel sauce onto each serving plate and top with a crouton. Arrange the bananas on the bread and drizzle with more caramel sauce.
