Fried green plantains - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 green plantains (frying plantains), peeled and cut into 3 pieces each
  • 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Heat oil in a frying pan to 180°C (350°F) using a thermometer. Fry the bananas, turning them over, until golden brown on all sides.
  2. Remove from the pan and place between two pieces of paper towel. Press down until they are flat, like chips. Return the plantains to the pan and fry until crispy. Remove from the pan and lightly season with salt.
