I have a weakness, mostly, for savory foods, like sour-salty potatoes, potato chips, or cheese and crackers. But there are times when all I want is donuts. It's especially terrible when this happens late at night, when the stores are closed, and even if they are open, none of them sell the donuts I want. It's a way to curb my appetite, to alleviate my cravings, or, perhaps more accurately, to satisfy my cravings. Donuts can be served with hot chocolate, but they're a great treat even without it.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a wide, shallow bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk and vanilla extract. Soak the bread halves in the egg mixture for 5 minutes on each side.
- Heat butter and refined oil in a frying pan, fry the bread soaked in egg until golden brown and well-fried on both sides.
Sprinkle sugar on a plate, then roll the finished bread in it to make it look like sugar-coated donuts.
