Time: 2 hours 20 minutes

Quantity: 36 crackers

Think of this cheese cracker recipe from Ree Drummond as a more sophisticated option for the holiday table. She takes savory cream crackers, sprinkles them with nutty Parmesan cheese, and wraps them in salty bacon before baking them in the oven.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 pack of country crackers
  • 3/4 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 450 g of thinly sliced bacon

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 120°C.

Place the crackers face-up on a large wire rack set over a baking sheet (or a grill pan). Top each cracker with a teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Cut the package of bacon in half (or cut each piece individually) and, being careful not to spill the cheese, wrap each cracker and cheese in one half of the bacon, making sure it covers it completely.

The crackers should be wrapped snugly, but not too tightly. Place the wrapped crackers on a wire rack. Bake in the oven for about 2 hours. Serve immediately or at room temperature.
