Paula Deen's ham is a staple at any holiday table. It's garnished with pineapple slices and candied cherries, which are pinned to the meat with cloves. A glaze made from pineapple juice, brown sugar, and mustard imparts a unique, piquant flavor.

1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 piece of spiral-cut ham
  • 1 can (550 g) pineapple rings (save syrup)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven and bake the ham according to package directions. Remove the ham from the oven 30 minutes before the end of cooking.

Arrange the pineapple slices attractively on the ham, securing them with cloves or toothpicks, if using. Place a cherry in the center of each pineapple slice and secure with a clove or toothpick.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, and enough of the reserved pineapple syrup to form a thick glaze. Pour the glaze over the ham and bake for the remaining 30 minutes. Remove the ham from the oven, transfer to a cutting board, and slice.
