Enjoy the delicious combination of sweet and spicy roasted garlic, refreshing green onions, and salty, crispy bacon bits in this sour cream dip, served as an appetizer with chips or crackers for dipping.


Ingredients:

  • 2 heads of garlic
  • 1.5 cups sour cream
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 slices of bacon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Trim the tops of two heads of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil and roast at 400°F (200°C) until the cloves are tender, 45 minutes; let cool.
  • Step 2
  • Combine roasted garlic with 1.5 cups sour cream, 3/4 cup mayonnaise, chopped chives, and green onions. Add Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Add 6 slices of chopped bacon.
