A step-by-step recipe for sponge cake and champagne cakes with strawberries.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- Cooking spray
- 500 g dry white sponge cake mixes
- 1 and 1/4 cups dry champagne
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 can (400 gr.) whipped white cream glaze
- 1/4 tsp champagne flavoring
- 1/4 tsp strawberry flavoring
- 6 drops of red food coloring
- Fresh strawberries for decoration

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the sponge mixture, champagne, vegetable oil, and egg whites. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue beating on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the sponge comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool completely.
- Place the glaze in a small bowl and add the flavorings and coloring, stirring to combine.
- Prepare the cakes: Using a knife, cut the sponge cake into 6 rectangles measuring 5 x 11 cm. Cut the rectangles horizontally in half. Spread icing on the bottom layers, cover with the top sponge cake, and top with icing. Decorate the cakes with fresh strawberries.Chef's tip: Flavorings are sold in confectionery stores.
