There are many ways to enjoy pears (fresh, baked in desserts, topped with pork, and more), and they're all delicious. But one of our favorites is adding the seasonal fruit to a glass of brandy or champagne. It's the perfect treat after finishing a cocktail!


Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp brandy
  • 2 tbsp. bitters
  • 6 sugar cubes
  • Thin slices of pear for garnish
  • Champagne
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour 1 tablespoon of brandy into 6 flutes. Pour 2 tablespoons of bitters into a small bowl. Dip 6 sugar cubes one at a time into the bitters, turn them over to soak them in the bitters, and place one in each flute. Then add a few thin slices of pear and top with champagne.
