How to Make - Champagne Appetizer

Recipe for a champagne appetizer made with goat cheese wrapped in dry-cured ham.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 500 g soft goat cheese with white mold in the form of a log
  • 250 g dry-cured ham, thinly sliced
  • 500 g of field lettuce (corn lettuce or valerianella)
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • Salt, ground black pepper
  • 1 liter of chilled champagne
  • 10 strawberries

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Lay the dry-cured ham slices on a work surface in a rectangular shape, overlapping them slightly. Place the cheese in the center and wrap it in the ham. Cut the roll into portions about 0.5 cm thick.
  2. Sort the field lettuce, rinse, and pat dry. Dress with olive oil and vinegar, season with pepper, and toss gently. Serve the appetizer on a bed of lettuce. Wash the berries, cut them into quarters (stems included), and arrange them in a deep bowl. Pour the champagne into glasses and serve with strawberries and the appetizer.
