The best way to make an omelet for a large crowd is to bake it in the oven in a large baking dish or in small ramekins. The oven will help the omelet rise well, creating a fluffy, velvety, and appealing appearance. The addition of ground sausage, bell peppers, and Swiss Gruyère cheese makes this omelet very filling, delicious, and truly special. It's quite simple to prepare: simply fry the ground sausage and onion, mix all the ingredients with a beaten egg, and bake.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Lightly grease a 20 x 20 cm baking pan with butter.
  2. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the sausage and cook until darkened, about 5 minutes. Set the skillet aside to cool.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper to taste until smooth, about 20 seconds. Add the red pepper flakes, 1 cup Gruyère cheese, and 1/4 cup parsley. Stir in the onion and ground beef mixture. Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Before serving, cut the baked omelette into wedges and sprinkle with the remaining parsley.

Note: To make individual servings, evenly divide the egg mixture between 4 greased 240ml (8 fl oz) ramekins. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
