Grilled garlic bread, aromatic and delicious, makes a wonderful addition to any meal. It can also be served as a standalone snack, perhaps with beer, or used to make crispy sandwiches. Before grilling, baguette slices are brushed with a mixture of softened butter, crushed garlic, and parsley. And if you grill it on a charcoal grill during a picnic, the spicy aroma will be infused with smoky notes, making it even more intense. This appetizer is irresistible.

Recipe:


Combine 4 tablespoons softened butter with 1 minced garlic clove, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, and 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Spread on 1-inch-thick slices of 1 baguette. Grill over medium-high heat, turning, until grill marks appear, 2 to 4 minutes (move to a cooler part of the grill if necessary).
