Ingredients:

  • 1.1 kg chicken wings, cut at the joints
  • 1 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for greasing the grill
  • 1/2 cup mustard barbecue sauce
  • Coleslaw, cornbread, and/or watermelon, for serving

3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat. Combine the brown sugar, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder in a small bowl. In a larger bowl, season the wings with salt and pepper and toss with the vegetable oil. Add the spice mixture and coat evenly with the sauce.
  • Step 2
  • Oil the grill grate; place the wings on the grill and cover. Cook, turning occasionally, until cooked through, about 20-25 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and drizzle with barbecue sauce. Serve the wings with cabbage salad, cornbread and/or watermelon.
