Spicy chicken wings


How to Make Spicy Chicken Wings

In just 30 minutes, you can make Tyler Florence's crispy chicken wings as a light appetizer for a casual dinner or a special occasion. They're served in a delicious sauce made with Thai red curry paste, soy sauce, and honey.


Ingredients:

  • 1.8 kg chicken wings
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 tbsp (110 g) softened unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 lime, cut in half
  • 1 heaping tbsp Thai red curry paste (a mixture of ground spices: chili, red peppers, lemongrass, garlic, ginger and shrimp paste)
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 220°C.

    Rinse the wings under cold water and pat dry. Place them in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and season generously with salt and pepper. Stir to distribute the seasonings evenly. Place the wings on a baking sheet and roast for about 25 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy and the meat is tender.
  • Step 2
  • While the chicken is baking, place the butter, curry paste, honey, and soy sauce in a blender. Season with salt and puree. Place in a large bowl. When the wings are done, remove them from the oven and add them to the bowl with the flavored butter. Squeeze the lime juice over the wings. Stir to combine, and the dish is ready.

    Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves.
