Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

How to Make Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings
Menu:Dinner,
Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
Complexity: easily
Servings: 24

While most similar recipes toss the chicken wings with sauce after they're cooked or brush them with it shortly before they're done, here they're immediately drenched in a sweet-spicy-honey glaze and baked. This means you'll get maximum flavor in every bite. To make cleanup easier, line the baking dish with foil.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Pace Picante sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 12 chicken wings (tips removed) or 24 wing halves
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine sauce, honey and ginger in a large bowl.
  • Step 2
  • Cut the wings in half at the joint to make 24 pieces. Toss the wings with the sauce (see Note). Place them in a shallow baking dish lined with foil.

    Note

Pace Picante salsa can be added to dishes, as a dip, or as a taco filling.
  • Step 3
  • Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 55 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and glazed, turning frequently and brushing with sauce during the last 30 minutes of baking. Discard any remaining sauce.
