Buffalo Chicken Wings in an Air Fryer

How to Cook Buffalo Chicken Wings in an Air Fryer
Kitchen:American,
Time: 30 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

Buffalo chicken wings are the most delicious cooked in an air fryer, and they're much easier to cook than deep-frying or baking. Firstly, you don't need as much oil as deep-frying, and there's no smoke in the kitchen. Secondly, unlike baking, the chances of overcooking the wings are minimal. They turn out perfectly crispy, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Top them with a spicy butter sauce and serve with traditional Buffalo chicken wings, celery sticks, and blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings, cut at the joints
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup Buffalo hot sauce
  • Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, for filing
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.

  • Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 175°C. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with vegetable oil, adding 1 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper. Place them in the air fryer in an even layer and fry until golden brown, about 10 minutes per side.
  • Step 2
  • Increase the air fryer temperature to 200°C and continue frying until the wings are crispy, another 5-7 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Transfer to a large bowl and add the wings; toss to coat. Serve the wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
