Grilled chicken wings are the perfect appetizer for a summer picnic with family and friends. Simply coat the chicken in a flavorful, herb-infused flour and grill until golden brown. Sprinkle the finished wings with Cajun lemon pepper seasoning for a tangy kick.

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg chicken wings, whole
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil + extra for greasing the grill
  • 3 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 and 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest + 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat grill to medium heat.
  • Step 2
  • In a large bowl, combine chicken wings, vegetable oil, 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and a few grinds of freshly ground black pepper.
  • Step 3
  • Lightly oil the grill grate. Arrange the wings in an even layer on the grill grate and cover. Grill, turning occasionally, until well-browned and cooked through, 20–25 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, in another large bowl, combine the parsley, lemon zest and juice, the remaining 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon black pepper.

  • Place the wings in a bowl with the seasoning and toss until evenly coated. Place on a large serving platter.
