Buffalo Chicken Dip

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip
Kitchen:American,
Time: 35 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 6-8

Chicken, butter, hot sauce, celery, and blue cheese… This combination of ingredients has long been known in American cuisine as Buffalo. Although the original recipe for Buffalo is fried chicken wings with sauce, its flavor has transcended the boundaries of just one dish. Replace the butter with cream cheese, combine all the ingredients in a bowl, bake in the oven until smooth and sticky, and you'll have a delicious Buffalo dip. Scoop it up with crackers, carrot sticks, or bread and enjoy. This appetizer will be just as satisfying as the famous wings themselves.

Ingredients:

  • 220 g of cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup chopped celery
  • 0.5 cup hot sauce
  • 1 grilled chicken, torn to pieces
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • Crackers, bread, or carrot sticks for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 220°C.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the cream cheese until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add the celery, hot sauce, and chicken and stir well. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and top with crumbled blue cheese. Bake until the dip is bubbling, about 25 minutes. Serve with crackers, bread, or carrot sticks.

What's really great about this recipe: It's packed with all the flavors of Buffalo chicken wings, but without the fat from chicken skin and deep-frying. Want to make it even lighter? Use reduced-fat cream cheese.
