Spicy Buffalo wings are traditionally deep-fried, but this oven-baked recipe is perfect for anyone looking to cut down on fat. The wings are just as delicious and crispy on the outside. Once they're out of the oven, toss them with a mixture of butter and Sriracha sauce. This will give them that signature Buffalo flavor. For dipping, make a quick sweet chili mayonnaise sauce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Wings

  • 2 kg chicken wings, cut at the joints, discard the tips
  • 220 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup Sriracha sauce
  • Vegetable oil to grease the baking sheets
  • Celery sticks, for serving, optional

Dip sauce

  • 3/4 cup Asian sweet chili sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • Juice of 1 lime

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a small bowl, combine the chili sauce, mayonnaise, lime juice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Preheat oven to 220°C. Generously grease 2 rimmed baking sheets.

  3. In a large bowl, toss the wings with 2 teaspoons salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste and arrange them evenly in a single layer on two prepared baking sheets.
  4. Bake until very crisp, about 55 minutes.

    Dip sauce:

    In a large bowl, combine melted butter and Sriracha sauce. Transfer the baked wings to the bowl and toss to coat. Serve the buffalo wings with celery sticks.
