Crispy wings in a spicy honey sauce

How to Make Crispy Wings in Spicy Honey Sauce
Time: 1 hour.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 6

Hot honey is one of the most contrasting and yet beloved sauces. You can drizzle a small amount over a whole batch of hot fried wings and call it a day. Or, follow Ree Drummond's example and create a new, delicious sauce using hot honey: simply add barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chili pepper. The wings will burst with flavor!

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with foil, then place a wire rack on the baking sheet.
  • Step 2
  • Wings:

Pat the wings dry with paper towels, then sprinkle both sides with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Place them on the grill, making sure they don't touch.
  • Step 3
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven. Turn them over with tongs and return to the oven. Bake until golden brown and cooked through, another 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Hot honey sauce:

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the honey, barbecue sauce, Louisiana hot sauce, vinegar, jalapeño, and serrano peppers and heat over low heat. Stir. Bring to a boil and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Remove the wings from the oven and turn the oven to broil. Dip the wings one at a time into the sauce. Place them back on the grill and broil for 3 minutes until nicely crisped.
  • Step 6
  • Innings:

Place the wings on a platter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve with ranch sauce for dipping.
