Blue cheese salad dressing is a perfectly balanced blend of mayonnaise, sour cream, cream, and blue cheese, with a smooth, slightly tangy flavor. It's used as a dressing for various salads and as a dip for spicy fried wings (like Buffalo wings) or fresh vegetables. It's one of the best-selling dressings in the US and can also be easily made at home. This dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days, but it's best made fresh and served immediately.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (about 80g), divided
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cups low-fat cream (10%)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp coarse salt
