With a slow cooker, you can have a relaxing weekend dinner even on weekdays. Add some spare ribs, pour in some Thai sweet and spicy sauce, set the time, and head to work. When you get back, all you have to do is grill the finished ribs for a few minutes in the oven until they look just like they came off the grill, and enjoy!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 slab of pork ribs weighing 1.3-1.8 kg, cut in half
  • 3/4 cup Thai sweet and hot chili sauce
  • Chopped cilantro, chopped roasted salted peanuts and lime wedges, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Season the pork ribs with salt and pepper. Brush the ribs with 0.5 cups of Thai sweet and hot chili sauce. Transfer to a 6-8 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to grill mode and line a baking sheet with foil.

  3. Place each rib half, bone-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with the remaining sauce. Broil in the oven until the glaze begins to bubble and brown, 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Cut the ribs between the bones. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with cilantro and peanuts. Sprinkle with lime juice.
