For perfectly juicy, beautifully browned pork ribs, roast them in the oven with a little apple juice until almost done, then brush them with a BBQ-bourbon glaze and grill until the glaze is golden brown.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 slices of pork ribs from the loin area
  • 0.5 - 1 tbsp bourbon
  • 1 cup of apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp grill seasoning
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 jar barbecue sauce, such as Uncle Ben's

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 120°C.
  2. Cut the ribs into small, equal-sized portions and place them in a shallow baking dish, meaty side up. Brush with bourbon, reserving about 1/4 cup for sauce, then add the apple juice.

  3. Season the meat side with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, grill seasoning, and garlic. Roast the ribs for 3-3.5 hours.
  4. Preheat the grill. Remove the ribs from the oven.
  5. Mix 1/4 cup bourbon with barbecue sauce, then coat the ribs with the mixture.
  6. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from the grill and place on a platter. Serve with grilled corn, if desired.
