These delicious, sticky oven-baked wings are a great alternative to fried wings and beer. Simply bake them until done and immediately toss them with a sweet and spicy sauce made with honey, soy sauce, and chipotle peppers, which adds not only a hint of heat but also a smoky flavor.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1.3 kg chicken wings, halved (discard tips)
  • 0.5 cups honey
  • 0.5 cups lightly salted soy sauce
  • 1/4 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 chipotle peppers, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. chopped ginger
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the wings on the baking sheet and lightly season with salt and pepper. Bake until cooked through and crispy, about 45 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, butter, garlic, chipotle pepper, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and simmer over low heat until the sauce thickens to a syrupy consistency, about 15 minutes.

  3. Add the cooked wings to the bowl with the sauce. Stir to coat evenly. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with green onions.
