Salmon is rightfully recognized as a source of high-quality protein that is easily digestible. Salmon in a sugar-mustard glaze is a simple and healthy dish that's perfect for both dinner and lunch, and its preparation doesn't require much time or effort.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
  • 8 pcs. fillet salmon, 170 grams each
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and honey over medium heat. Remove from the heat and whisk in the mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, and ginger. Let cool.
  • Step 2
  • Heat a frying pan. Brush the salmon with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the fish in the pan, skin side down. Coat the salmon with the honey-mustard sauce. For medium-rareness, fry the fish for 6-8 minutes, turning after 5-6 minutes.
