What a surprise! If you brought frozen salmon fillets home from the supermarket, you don't have to wait for them to defrost before frying them. Simply place the fish in a preheated pan and fry, then use the same pan to make a light, savory-sweet sauce of garlic, honey, soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar to drizzle over the salmon. Trust me, even those who say they don't like seafood will love this salmon recipe.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 frozen salmon fillets with skin (110-140 g each)
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. l. rice vinegar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Rinse the salmon under cool water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon pieces skin-side up in the skillet, spacing them apart. Cook until browned on one side, about 4 minutes.

  3. Turn the fish over with a spatula and season with salt and black pepper. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook until the fish is opaque and flakes easily when inserted with a small knife, 7-9 minutes. Transfer the salmon to a plate.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Add garlic to the pan and cook, stirring, until golden brown, about 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar and cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the salmon to the pan and turn to coat with the sauce. Serve the fish drizzled with the sauce.
