This dip is made with the spicy Asian sauce sriracha. Add a little honey, orange juice, and brown sugar, reduce the sauce, and the flavor becomes bright and rich, with caramel and citrus notes. You won't find this sauce in stores. It's perfect for French fries, chicken nuggets, spare ribs—anything!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 0.5 cups ketchup
  • 0.5 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup hot honey

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a saucepan, combine sriracha, ketchup, orange juice, brown sugar, honey, a small pinch of salt and plenty of ground black pepper.
  2. Heat over medium heat. Once the sauce begins to boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes.

  3. Serve the sauce immediately while hot or let it cool to room temperature. You can also refrigerate it and serve it chilled. It's perfect with fried wings, vegetables, French fries, or other appetizers.
