Candied almonds

Time: 15 min.
Candied almonds are a gourmet European treat, especially popular during the winter holidays. But they're also a great snack for any occasion, even for those with no special reason to indulge. You can make your own candied almonds, which are much cheaper than store-bought versions and offer the same rich, caramelized, and spicy flavor. Simply coat the almonds in a glaze made from butter, maple syrup, and brown sugar, along with spices, and set. Seal them into bags and give them as gifts to loved ones, or add them to their favorite dried fruit mix.
