Candied, or caramelized, bacon is the perfect addition to any sandwich! This recipe coats slices of smoked bacon in light brown sugar and bakes them in the oven until the fat renders and the sugar turns into a crisp, caramelized crust. It's absolutely delicious, and the combination of sweet glaze and salty, smoky bacon is sure to impress. Candied bacon can be added to sandwiches, burgers, salads, or enjoyed as a snack.

Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle 2 cups light brown sugar into a pie dish. Gently press 12-14 slices applewood-smoked bacon into the sugar, coating them evenly. Fit a rack onto a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Arrange the bacon on the rack. Bake, rotating the pan halfway through, until the bacon is super crispy and golden, 30-50 minutes, depending on the thickness of the bacon slices. Cool on the rack.
