Bacon-wrapped filet mignon - detailed cooking recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 1 filet mignon steak, 230-280 g, 5 cm thick.
  • 1 thin bacon
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter, more if needed
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 230 degrees.

    Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Wrap the steak in bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • Step 2
  • Heat an ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil. Add the steak to the skillet and cook on both sides until nicely browned, about 1 minute per side.
  • Step 3
  • Remove the pan from the stove and place it in the oven to finish cooking. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

    You can submit Filet mignon with mushroom sauce and mustard.
