A recipe for grilled burgers. The recipe calls for a variety of burger toppings: fried mushrooms, caramelized onions, pico de gallo sauce, and bacon.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1,350 g of ground beef with 80% lean
  • Vegetable oil for grilling
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
  • 6 large round buns
  • 6 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
  • Assorted fillings for garnish (see recipes below)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high. Grease the grates with vegetable oil. Place the ground beef in a large bowl. Add 1.5 teaspoons of salt and 3/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

  2. Form the ground meat into 6 patties, each 2.5 cm thick, and place them on the grill. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Turn the patties over, leaving them on the same side, and cook for another 3 minutes. Flip them over and repeat on the other side.

  3. Meanwhile, cut the buns in half and brush each cut side with 1/2 tbsp (30 g) of butter. Lightly toast the buns, cut side down, on a grill. Make burgers using different fillings.

    Fried mushrooms

    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons (30 grams) of butter, add 450 grams (16 ounces) of sliced ​​mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes. Add 2-3 tablespoons of broth or wine and cook for another 6-8 minutes.

    Caramelized onions

    Melt 4 tablespoons (60 g) of butter in a skillet over low heat. Add 2 large red onions, sliced ​​into rings, and 3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized.

    Pico de Gallo

    Finely chop 5 plum tomatoes, 1/2 large onion, 3 jalapeños, and 1 bunch cilantro. Mix with the juice of 1/2 lime and season with salt to taste. More salsa recipes Pico de Gallo

    Bacon

    Fry the bacon over medium-high heat until crisp.
