These hearty, juicy beef burgers combine all the traditions of Mexican cuisine and are easy to prepare, even if you live thousands of miles from the New World. All the ingredients are readily available and, when combined correctly, imbue the burgers with the unique flavors of Mexico. In addition to the grilled beef patty, the sandwich also includes green tomato salsa, which is quickly prepared in the microwave, and guacamole (a Mexican spread made with avocado, tomatoes, and lime juice). Everything is served on toasted buns and topped with grilled corn on the cob.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 0.7 kg lean ground beef
- 2 green tomatoes, diced
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Half a small red onion, diced
- 1 red jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- 4 ears of corn, shelled and broken in half
- 2 tsp vegetable oil, plus extra for grilling
- 4 sesame hamburger buns
- 0.5 cups of prepared guacamole

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Make the salsa. Combine the tomatoes, lime juice, sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes, then add the cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño.
- In a large bowl, toss the corn with vegetable oil; season with salt and pepper. Form the ground beef into four 1-inch-thick patties; season with salt and pepper. Lightly coat the grill grate with vegetable oil. Grill the corn, turning occasionally, until tender and charred, about 8 minutes.
- Meanwhile, grill the patties for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Toast the buns on the grill.
- Place the patties on buns and top with guacamole and salsa. Serve with corn.
