The centerpiece of this big, delicious burger is the shrimp patty. To make the patties, some of the shrimp are ground into a paste, while others are sliced ​​with a knife to enhance the texture and help the patties stick together. Pan-fry them and serve on toasted buns slathered with Old Bay mayonnaise and Cajun seasoning, which perfectly complements the seafood, with a slice of tomato, avocado, and lettuce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Shrimp cutlets

  • 450 g medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 4 brioches, cut in half horizontally
  • Avocado slices, for assembly
  • Lettuce leaves, for assembly
  • Tomato slices, for assembly

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Shrimp cutlets:

    Coarsely chop half the shrimp. Place the remaining shrimp in a food processor and process until smooth. In a large bowl, combine both shrimp mixtures. panko breadcrumbs, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder, pepper, green onions, and egg. Refrigerate for 10 minutes, then form into 4 patties. Refrigerate for another 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 3 minutes per side.

  3. Spread mayonnaise on the buns and place a patty on each. Top with avocado slices, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices.
